The Ranting Weight Watcher is a supportive podcast for those who are navigating weight loss. Host Donato Russo shares his quest for mental, physical, and spiritual health. He is open and honest about his journey, sharing every failure and success. Donato started the show in 2020. He decided the best topic to focus on was the one he had struggled with throughout his life.

In 2004, podcast host Donato weighed 460 pounds. He could hardly move and wasn't living life as he knew a 26-year-old should. At that point, Donato decided to have gastric bypass surgery. Experts told him that surgery was a tool to become healthy, but it wasn't a solution. Donato would remember this advice later.

The initial success of his surgery brought with it a social life and the chance to start dating his future wife. As Donato grew more confident, he started gaining weight. In 2019, he stood on the scale and discovered he weighed 395 pounds again at age 41. He felt so disgusted by himself that he returned to WeightWatchers. This podcast shares everything he's learned throughout his journey.

Each podcast episode explores a different weight loss topic. Donato starts with an update on his journey and reveals his latest weigh-in results. He talks about his latest strategies, such as reducing his carbohydrate intake. Donato evaluates which phase he is in and where there might be room for improvement.

Throughout the series, Donato addresses various weight loss challenges. He talks about food guilt and the way he overcomes feelings of temptation. Donato discusses approaching milestones and how to reintroduce foods he removed from his diet. In one episode, he describes a moment where he needs to try on a suit and is looking at himself in the mirror. Can he see the success he has achieved in his reflection? These accounts of daily challenges make this weight loss podcast relatable.
